How to send USD to countries outside of the USA?

USD is sent to bank accounts outside the US via the SWIFT payment network. This is different than a regular transfer and will take longer. It also costs a bit more, but should still be cheaper than more traditional methods of sending money overseas.
If you’re sending USD to a bank account in Hong Kong, we’ll pay out your USD locally through CHATS system.
How it works
- Set up your transfer. You’ll need to add a new recipient.
- Select the recipient bank account country. Even though the account’s in USD, choose the country you’re sending money to.
- Add the account number and SWIFT code of the recipient’s bank account. Transferring to an email address isn’t supported yet.
How much it costs
Your fees
- Your Pockit international transfer fee stays the same
- Our partner's fee — WISE (formerly known as TransferWise) powers our international transfer service — will send your funds via a SWIFT network. This means our partner's fee will cost you more (you’ll see the quote before completing the transfer).
Your recipient’s fee
Your recipient’s bank may charge fees to receive payments sent with SWIFT. Also, the recipient might be charged by any banks that handle the money along the way. We don’t have control over when these fees are charged, or how much they cost.
