How can I send money in the UK?

You can send money to a UK (bank) account quickly and easily in the Pockit app or in your web account.
You can do this from the “Transfers” and then “Send money” tab in your Pockit app or simply the “Send money” tab in your web account. Click here to be redirected to the “Send money” screen.
When you want to send money to a new recipient, you’ll have to add that person or business as a new contact. When you add a new recipient, we check if the account number and sort code match the account name and account type (personal or business).
Once you’ve added a new recipient, you can simply select them from the list of saved recipients to quickly send a transfer.
Below are the possible responses to our checks when you add a new recipient:
1. All details match
Everything looks good! The account name, number, and type all match. You’re ready to proceed with the payment.
2. Account name is a close match
The account name isn't exactly the same as what you've entered—there could be a typo or nickname. Double-check the details before moving forward.
3. Name does not match
The account name doesn’t match the one you’ve entered. Please update the name and try again. Proceed only if you’re sure this is the right account, as sending money to the wrong person may not be recoverable.
4. Account type does not match
The name matches, but the account type is incorrect. You’ll need to adjust the account type before proceeding. Sending money to the wrong account could result in a non-recoverable transfer.
5. Account switched
The recipient has switched to a new account. You’ll need to request their updated bank details before making the transfer. You cannot proceed without the new details.
6. Account does not exist
No account was found with the details provided. Please double-check and update the information. You cannot proceed until the correct details are entered.
7. Account details could not be verified
We’re unable to verify the account name, but the account may still exist. Only proceed if you’re 100% sure the account details are correct, as this payment could be irreversible.
If you encounter any issues, it’s always best to double-check with the recipient before proceeding to ensure your payment goes to the right place.
