Why did my card payment decline?

There can be a few different reasons why your card (Mastercard®) payment declined, here are a few of the most common reasons:

• Insufficient funds

• Your card has not been activated

• Exceeding contactless payment limit (PIN is required to complete purchase)

• You have blocked your card in your online account

• Too many incorrect attempts at entering your PIN

• Too many incorrect attempts at entering card information online i.e expiry date,CVC2

• You’re exceeding your account limits (Click here to check your limits)

• Your account is currently limited

• The merchant does not accept prepaid cards

• Attempting to use a cancelled card
